Railway Environmental & Infrastructure Assessments

CARES Group was commissioned to carry out a Phase One Environmental and Infrastructure Assessments (Due Diligence) at various sites spread across Nigeria. 

The project was intended to provide an understanding of the site conditions, identify potential presence or absence of environmental and reputational risks and compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements to define needs for required infrastructure refurbishment, sustainable future operations and maintenance of the railway assets. 

CARES Group completed site reconnaissance and interviews at seven sites throughout Nigeria. 

CARES Group also reviewed available historical documents, a review of government data, a review of the available regulatory permitting requirements and compliance review, a site photographic inspection, maps review, and surrounding properties investigation.
