Ope joined CARES as an Environmental Monitoring Officer and has been involved in soil and groundwater assessments/investigations, met-ocean studies, offshore geotechnical investigations, dredging operations monitoring, harbour pollution management and control.

Opeoluwa is an Environmental Consultant with 7 years’ experience, in various sectors ranging from oil and gas, maritime, construction, agriculture etc.

He joined CARES as an Environmental Monitoring Officer and has been involved in soil and groundwater assessments/investigations, met-ocean studies, offshore geotechnical investigations, dredging operations monitoring, harbour pollution management and control.

Some of his key experiences include:

  • Successfully supported and managed offshore laboratory geotechnical site investigations.
  • Onshore soil and groundwater assessments and investigations for Environmental Impact Assessments, Environmental Monitoring Programmes etc.
  • Siltation, current and tidal studies for met-ocean surveys.
  • Technical audit of dredging operations and pollution control operations of the harbour.

Opeoluwa is a certified United Nations Environmental Programme Financial Initiative (UNEP-FI) Environmental and Social Risk Analyst and is developing applicable knowledge in environmental and social governance of project financing in accordance with world bank environmental and social safeguards, IFC performance standards, the equator principles etc for execution of sustainable projects.
