James is an Experienced Team Leader / Project Manager for Building and Infrastructure Projects. He is experienced at managing input to multi-disciplined combined Infrastructure construction. James is adept at working within multicultural and multinational teams in the delivery of infrastructure construction.

Prior to joining CARES,James was Project Manager on the expansion of the Nigerdock oil and gas platform production facility at Snake Island, Lagos. Individual Projects included a 5,000 sq.m warehouse, a 250m quayside extension, a 4,000 sq.m work shop, 6 kilometers of heavy industrial roadways and 40,000 sq.m of serviced fabrication hard standing areas for materials storage and platform construction.

Responsibilities included:

  • Ensuring that construction contracts were administered in accordance with the contract conditions.
  • Carrying out bid evaluations for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Facilitating design meetings for temporary and permanent works.
  • Ensuring risk assessments were produced and applied and that accurate method statements were developed and implemented for all temporary and permanent works.
  • Gaining approval of technical submissions from contractors in respect of design, quality management, design modifications, drawings, specifications, programme and commissioning.
  • Variation order review evaluations and documentation distribution to ensure commercial recovery.
  • Overseeing the production of “as-built” drawings and specification.
